I was just fooling around on Nvidia Forums when i saw that DDS plugin is also available for 64-Bit version now, lol after a very long time Nvidia has finally released it.
They released it on 03 Jan, 2011 shame i'm reporting it so late.

DDS-Import/Export
The NVIDIA DDS plug-in supports the DXTC texture compression format and allows you to open and save .dds files in RGB format. It reads and writes .dds files in compressed or uncompressed forms, provides support for per-MIP color fading, MIP-corrected normal mapping, and more.
NVIDIA Normal Map filter
It creates normal maps from grayscale height maps. The filter UI provides a powerful 3D preview and a variety of filtering options. For MIP-mapped normal maps, the NormalMap Filter should be used for preview only, and then the grayscale map exported via the DDS plugin with 'Normal Map Settings.' enabled. This will create a normal map with maximal detail and fidelity for all texture levels, without undesirable filter aliasing.

A plug-in for Adobe Photoshop to support .DDS files based on DirectXTex to provide full support for all formats.

NVIDIA has a DDS plugin in for Adobe Photoshop, but it does not support the 'DX10' header extension, BC6H, or BC7. https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop
